Memberships of SWAN

Together with the other members - Swiss Heart Foundation, Fourchette verte Switzerland, Fédération romande des consommateurs FRC, Swiss Obesity Foundation SAPS, Public Health Switzerland, Swiss Society for Nutrition SGE, Foundation for Consumer Protection, Association PEP, Swiss Association of Dieticians SVDE, Swiss Dental Association SSO, SWAN is pleased to be among the founding members and in the future also represented on the board of the new "Alliance for Nutrition and Health" (led by Public Health Switzerland). The Alliance is committed to providing living conditions under which individuals, families and communities in Switzerland can maintain a balanced and sustainable diet and thereby maintain and promote their health.

Cooperations of SWAN

SWAN and the Swiss Society for Nutrition (SSN) have agreed on a cooperation from 01.11.2019.

"SWAN and the Swiss Society for Nutrition SSN are entering into a partnership with immediate effect. The focus will be on the exchange of information and the use of the respective communication channels in order to make the interests of the two associations accessible to an even broader public. Both partners are looking forward to a successful cooperation."

Since 01.11.2019, SWAN and the Swiss Sports Nutrition Society SSNS have agreed on a cooperation. The cooperation includes the following points:

• Membership fees: SWAN members receive a 30% reduction on the annual membership fee of the Swiss Sport Nutrition Society SSNS.
• SSNS members can attend SWAN's biannual events free of charge or at a reduced rate.
• Further components of the cooperation are the mutual exchange of information and the use of the respective communication channels (newsletter, conferences, etc.).

Since January 2022, SWAN and the Swiss Association of Nutritionists SVDE have agreed on a cooperation. With this, both organizations want to strengthen the interprofessionality as well as the interests of academically trained nutrition professionals who are active in the following fields of work: Health Promotion & Prevention, Research & Teaching, Food/Pharmaceutical Industry & Gastronomy, Media & Public Relations. Initially, the cooperation will mainly comprise communicative measures. In the future, joint projects and events are also to be implemented.

Since 01.01.2019 SWAN and the professional association Oecotrophology VDOE have agreed on a cooperation. A first step is the offer of a VDOE-SWAN combined membership.

Since 01.01.2019, SWAN-VDOE combination-members benefit from the following advantages for EUR 210 respectively CHF 220 annually:

• Access to the VDOE training programme,
• a monthly VDOE newsletter,
• Association magazine VDOE POSITION
• a reduced fee for conferences where the VDOE acts as (co-)organiser.

Since 01.11.2019 SWAN and the Austrian Association of Nutritional Sciences VEÖ have agreed on a mutual cooperation.

The cooperation includes the following points::

• Membership fees: SWAN members who are also VEÖ members benefit from a reduced membership fee of CHF 110 instead of CHF 150 at SWAN. VEÖ members who are also SWAN members benefit from a reduced membership fee of EUR 76 instead of EUR 98. The amount for the VEÖ-SWAN combined membership with both associations is thus approx. EUR 176 or CHF 183.
• VEÖ-SWAN combination members will benefit from a reduced fee for conferences and meetings where the VEÖ acts as (co-)organizer. VEÖ: Registration is via the homepage http://www.veoe.org/termine, where you can choose the VEÖ membership fee. If someone is ONLY a member of SWAN, the partner rate is available for this member. In order to be able to use this tariff, proof of SWAN membership is required.
• VEÖ-SWAN combination members combination members can attend SWAN's biannual events free of charge or at a reduced rate.
